Every once in a while we have
the opportunity to reuse some equipment in a customers
new car from their old one. In this instance most
of the gear was recycled from an older Caddy to
this new Deville. In fact, all we got to provide
this system was a pair of Memphis MCD1000 amplifiers
and wealth of installation knowledge from long
time fabricator Rob Jurkewicz. The idea was to
create a very showy but compact trunk installation
using the customers old subwoofers. On top
of the enclosure, Rob molded a Caddillac symbol
between the amplifiers for that one-of-a-kind
finish, and front-loaded the drivers themselves
to show off the flashy motor assembly. Of course
no vehicle like this is complete with out a full
video system, so indash a Clarion VRX935D motorized
touch screen was used along with a pair of Clarion
VMA 7194 headrest screens. The indash screen shows
imagery from the internal DVD, either external
game input, and from a nightvision camera mounted
in the front grill!
