The Utah Chapter of the March of Dimes is committed to helping moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. If something goes wrong, we offer information and comfort to families. We research problems that threaten our babies and work on preventing them.

In Utah, every 1 in 9 babies is born prematurely. The Utah Chapter supports the NICU Family Support Program and the Teddy Bear Den. Recently, Utah has been awarded 4 March of Dimes National research grants to doctors at the U of U to study the problems of prematurity and the prevention of birth defects. You have probably been touched by the mission of the March of Dimes! The Utah Chapter is responsible for the Newborn Screening test every baby in Utah receives. This screening test is provided to all newborns in Utah for potentially dangerous but treatable conditions. If you received a polio vaccination, or if your baby received surfactant in the NICU you were a recipient of March of Dimes research and success!!
